There was a time in eastern europe when jews werent allowed to have last names. But at some point jews were allowed to buy last names if they could afford it. My family bought Gesundheit thinking it would bring them good health, Which is hilarious because no one in my family really has good health. There is only one Gesundheit family in the entire world, we are spread out across Mexico, Nicaragua, Cuba, South Africa, Australia, Europe, The United States, Argentina, Chile, Israel, etc...
